Moving away from east London wasn’t going to stop Rose Bennett from supporting the Christmas Toy Appeal.
She and her husband George moved to Witney in Oxfordshire two years ago after many years of supporting the appeal.
George worked at the Dagenham Ford plant, where a toy collection was done each year, while Rose knitted a variety of characters.
This year is no different, as she has created popular characters including Noddy and Bertie Bassett.
They, and all the other toys donated, will be handed out to impoverished children across Newham to give them something to smile about this Christmas.
