Around 50,000 people gathered in Central Park this weekend for the Mayor’s Newham Show.
The two day free festival offered a whole host of family entertainment, with 2,000 participants from schools and community groups joining the carnival parade through East Ham on Saturday afternoon.
Stage entertainment included children’s TV favourite Peppa Pig, the Every Child a Musician choir and a tribute to East Ham’s very own Dame Vera Lynn.
Other activities included a seaside experience, a traditional village fete and sports taster sessions.
There was also the chance for young visitors to find out what it was like to be a First World War soldier or transform themselves into superheroes.
Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, said: “I am so proud that we can offer our residents of all ages a free fun filled weekend every year.
“The biggest highlight for me was seeing so many people, of all ages and from across our community, coming together and enjoying themselves.”
