Theatre Royal Stratford East is live streaming the iconic musical, Tommy, into adult social care homes across the UK.

It is part of their commitment to Ramps on the Moon initiative to make theatre accessible to all.

Elderly people will be watching the musical in HD, with families and friends, in their own comfort zone tomorrow at 2.30pm

The live stream will be captioned and there is also the option to listen to the show’s audio description.

The Who’s Tommy is a multi award-winning rock musical written by Pete Townshend, with 22 performers and musicians.

It is a story of a pinball-playing boy which has entertained audiences for about 40 years.

Tommy runs at Theatre Royal Stratford East till tomorrow and will be continuing to The Crucible, Sheffield from 22 June – 1 July.
