The Queen received a warm welcome at Lister Community School yesterday – and we’ve got all the pictures to prove it.
Check out our gallery above to see Her Majesty meet with pupils, teachers and even veteran broadcaster Trevor MacDonald at the Plaistow school.
The visit was arranged by the nation’s longest-serving monarch to see how The Queen’s Trust is supporting school children.
Youngsters waved their Union Jacks with pride as the world’s most recognisable lady, dressed head-to-toe in mauve, toured the campus in St Mary’s Road.
The Queen watched pupils put on a dance show, listened to a performance by the school’s orchestra in conjunction with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and unveiled a plaque to mark her visit.
