It’s a 5k race, but not as you know it.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park plays host to the inaugural British edition of The Color Run Night on September 5.

Thousands of runners will make their way through the park’s illuminated zones, bubble stations and blacklight areas on their way to the finish line.

Participants in the untimed event, branded the ‘happiest 5k on the planet’, James Robinson, managing director of organisers IMG Challenger World said: “We’re thrilled to be launching the first ever UK edition of The Color Run Night in 2015.

“It’s already been a huge success in the US and we know our ‘Color Runners’ are going to love it too.”

Runners can pre-register as a VIP to gain priority access, with the launch date for entries to be announced soon.
