Celebrity scientist drops in on Forest Gate school.

EMINENT scientist and TV personality Lord Professor Robert Winston met students at a Forest Gate school when he dropped in on class last week.

Lord Winston – best known for presenting BBC science shows such as Superhuman and The Human Body – is pictured meeting pupils at St Bonaventure’s in Boleyn Road who are participating in the Researchers in Residence education programme.

Head teacher Paul Halliwell said: “We are extremely fortunate to be able to welcome the world-renowned scientist to our school, his presence and influence will leave a lasting legacy.

“This project will greatly impact upon the future life opportunities of our students and help us to further develop excellence in Science.”

During his visit to the all-boys school, Lord Winston shared his expertise with pupils in a genetics class and delivered a lecture to Year 7 to 10 pupils.
