Four fire crews tackled a blaze that broke out this morning in a house that was being renovated.
Most of the roof and half of the second floor of the terraced house in Kensington Avenue, Manor Park, is damaged.
Around 21 firefighters were called to the scene at 11.25am and they brought the fire under control at around 12.55pm.
Engines from Barking, Plaistow, Stratford, and East Ham attended and the London Fire Brigade reports that no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
