There are serious delays on the A13 eastbound because of an accident.
Two lanes have been closed and there are 10 miles of queues after a lorry collided with a car near Wennington this afternoon.
Two people have been taken to hospital but the extent of their injuries remains unknown.
Traffic is currently congested between Beckton and Rainham.
