Police are investigating an incident in which two men received slash wounds last night.
Officers were called to reports of a fight and stabbing in Barking Road, East Ham, near the junction with Ernald Avenue, at around 10.30pm.
They found two men with slash wounds.They were both taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries, said a Scotland Yard spokesman.
They were still in hospital as inquiries continue into the fight.
One youth, aged around 17, has been arrested and in custody and will be questioned later concerning the incident.
