A budget hotel in Stratford has become the first of 500 hotels within the Travelodge chain to undergo a major refurbishment.
Stratford Travelodge opened last year on the High Street and the make-over at the 188-room hotel includes a new room design and beds.
London Stratford Travelodge Hotel Manager, Steve Siu, said: “The demand for good quality branded budget accommodation in the area is growing at great pace, particularly as we enter the busy summer months.”
The work, carried out over the past two months, cost £130,000 and is part of a company wide brand investment of £223 million this year.
