Would-be performers looking for someone to help nurture their talent are urged to make their way to a Stratford theatre.

Stage Studio Stratford will be opening their doors at Theatre Royal Stratford East on September 7 in the hope of finding some new talent.

Stage Studio was founded by local actress and performer Shelley Williams, a regular at the theatre with appearances in Cinderella, Wah! Wah! Girls and last years smash hit panto Jack And The Beanstalk.

She said: “We are thrilled to be based at Theatre Royal Stratford East, it is without doubt my favourite theatre in London. We are so pleased they are supporting us in our aim to bring quality, professional performing arts to Newham.

“A number of our students have already gained professional credits and have been cast in a short film, a TV series and huge commercial campaigns.

“Now we are looking for new talent to join us to meet the growing demand. We have an incredible team of teachers working with us and regular guest visits from West End performers.”

The school holds a weekly class based at Theatre Royal Stratford East on Sunday afternoons between 12.30 and 3pm. It combines street dance, drama and singing for seven-to-16-year-olds. There will be a free trial on September 7 although places are limited so booking is essential, Contact Stage Studio at info@stagestudio.co.uk.
