A nine-year-old boy from Stratford is among this little clutch who have even more reason to celebrate their GCSE results.
Ayomide Awoniyi passed Maths GCSE after studying the subject under the guidance of the Excellence In Education programme at Sarah Bonnell School in Stratford.
He became involved in the programme after hearing about student Danny Igbinidu who passed his GCSE at 12. He was inspired by Danny and wanted to do the same.
The Excellence in Education (EIE) Programme is a non-profit, non-governmental international programme that works with schools, local groups, companies and charities interested in the educational development of students in inner-cities and any children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Current work is concentrating in Newham.
