Belting out hits from the likes of Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye, the Stratford-based Reggae Choir thoroughly entertained the crowd at the One Love Festival.

Their hour-long set at the Milton Keynes festival - the UK’s largest celebration of reggae and dub music - opened the main stage on Sunday morning with “Reggae-fied” versions of more current tracks by Rihanna and Bruno Mars.

Whilst on the festival site, the Reggae Choir also found the time to lay down a version of One Love, originally recorded by Bob Marley & the Wailers.

Fola Phillip, founder and choir director, said: “We performed last year with singer Moni Tivony, who was then fresh from The Voice.

“It was great to be asked to come back and there was a really good crowd. What was really heartening was that many people knew us from last year.”

The choir meet at Stratford Circus every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm. For more information, visit reggaechoir.com
