If you’re thinking of selling up, now could be the time to do it.

Research by online estate agent sellmyhome.co.uk has found that homes within half a mile of Stratford station could increase in value by as much as 10 per cent when the night tube begins.

The study analysed 50 stations in zones 2 and 3 that will operate a night tube service and scored them against a number of criteria.

Stratford, which will be served by the Central and Jubilee lines throughout Friday and Saturday nights, came out on top.

The criteria looked at how much time and money would be saved, as well as house prices in the area and the demographics of people living there.

Will Clark, managing director of sellmyhome.co.uk said: “This insightful research once again shows the move away from high streets and towards transport hubs within London.

“Transport remains one of the key determinants for house prices in the city and this research has highlighted areas ready to see significant house price growth.”

The start date for the night tube has not yet been announced.

It was scheduled to begin in September but postponed due to a dispute between the operator and staff.
