Staff at Holiday Inn in Stratford will don penguin suits to take on a waddling challenge, when they gather in Hyde Park to break the Guinness World Record while raising money for Richard House Hospice.

Mary Meeking, head of community events for the children’s hospice in Beckton, paid the birds a visit ahead of the undertaking on November 12 to offer some words of encouragement.

“We appreciate the continued support the Holiday Inn London-Stratford City team have given us over the years.

“This will be our fourth annual Penguin Waddle and this year we are aim to recruit at least 400 Penguin Ambassadors to break last year’s record of 373 penguins. We hope everyone in East London can join us in November to support this great cause and help us set a new Guinness World Record!”
