Youngsters got their hands stuck into some arts and crafts at a pop-up shop promoting Stratford’s newest neighbourhood.

The East Village shop at Westfield Stratford City held an interactive Crafternoon for families last Monday May 27 in partnerhip with community arts space Stratford Circus.

The venue in Theatre Square teamed up with Tea Dance for Little People to give families a taster of their forthcoming production “Spring Into Summer” by getting children involved in a treasure hunt hosted by Marigold the Pixie and by helping the little ones to create a dynamic recycled structure and willow stars to take home.

East Village - formerly the Athlete’s Village in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park - opens in late July boasting nearly 3,000 new homes.
