A world-leading events recruitment company from Stratford recently joined a government trade delegation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Representatives from Showforce, of Burford Road, took park in UK Trade and Investment (UKTI)’s Britain in the Region event aimed at raising awareness of business opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa with specific focus on Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the UAE.
The trade mission gave UK companies in the construction, infrastructure and creative services industries a chance to gain access to key decision makers and potential partners for a number of high value programmes in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Delegates had access to key stakeholders on some of the region’s most significant developments including Expo 2020, extension projects at Al Maktoum and Abu Dhabi international airports, Saadiyat Island and UAE rail projects.
Showforce’s chief executive Ian Spendlove said: “The whole trip was first rate, and the level of meetings, visits and networking opportunities was at a different level to any previous delegations Showforce has attended.
“We are already well established in the region, however, with the development of Saadiyat Island, expansion of Yas Island and plans for Expo 2020 already gathering pace it is an exciting time to be in the UAE. We want to ensure that we are well placed to take advantage of all the opportunities available to us.”
