Newham young people aged 16-18 can learn a trade free of charge at at Stratford college.
The Building Crafts College, located in Kennard Road, is offering introductory courses including bricklaying, carpentry and stonemasonry aimed at young people not currently in full-time education, employment or training.
No previous skills or knowledge are required for the courses, which take place two days per week and could lead to a range of potential careers in the construction and building craft industries. In addition to learning a trade, young people who enrol at the college will also have the opportunity to further boost their employability by developing their maths and English skills.
Start dates on the introductory courses are available throughout the year.
