A former car park in Stratford has been transformed into the setting for Rooftop Film Club’s latest venture.
Roof East, opposite Stratford station and Westfield Shopping Centre, is set to bring the outdoor movie experience to Newham, combining classic film, food, cocktails and panoramic views of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The venue will also host a variety of cultural events, from theatre to dance as well as family activities until September.
July’s film programme includes favourites such as Reservoir Dogs and Stand By Me, as well as recent box-office hits including Dallas Buyers Club and Her. Founder, Gerry Cottle Jnr said, “Our mission at Rooftop Film Club has always been to offer a must-see film line-up along with spectacular views across London. We believe we have found that in our new Stratford venue, where else can you enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the Olympic Park, an ice cold cocktail and The Goonies?”
Screenings five days a week. Tickets cost £13. Visit: rooftopfilmclub.com.
