The Newham Recorder has teamed up with streetlife.com, the local social network, to engage neighbourhoods in our area.
streetlife.com has a simple aim: to help people make the most of where they live by connecting and sharing practical information, advice and opinions.
People sign up using their postcode, and can start and join conversations with locals. Users can customise their settings to control how much information they receive, the areas they’re interested in, and what they share about themselves.
streetlife.com first launched in Wandsworth, London, where the site has become a dependable source of local knowledge for thousands of people who use it to exchange recommendations, skills and belongings, organise social groups and events, and discuss local issues and public services with council officials, police and residents.
The service is now available nationwide, and we’re encouraging our readers to join the conversation in and around Newham.
Try it out by signing up for free at www.newham.streetlife.com and start a conversation about something you care about in Newham.
