A fire broke out this morning near Manor Park station bringing trains to a halt in both directions.
Firefighters from East Ham and Stratford stations were called to Station Road at 10.01am to reports of smoke coming from underneath a bridge nearby.
Two crews and ten firefighters put out a small fire at 10.40am but train operators Greater Anglia stopped all trains running on the Liverpool Street to Shenfield Line as a precaution.
Firefighters are still at the scene investigating.
