Sir Ian McKellen and cast of new movie spotted on set in Forest Gate

Forest Gate has become the set for a new film starring Sir Ian McKellen and Dame Helen Mirren.

Film crews from Warner Bros, who are filming The Good Liar, have been using Barry’s Meat Market in Woodgrange Road, Forest Gate as a set - although the name of the butcher’s had been changed to Rastakovski.

Dame Helen wasn’t seen on set - but Sir Ian and Downtown Abbey star Jim Carter were both photographed on the set.

The film is set to be released 2019.
