PUBLISHED: 06:00 18 March 2012

Sight impaired and blind residents are reminded that they are entitled to 50 per cent off their TV Licence.

The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) has teamed up with TV Licensing to make registered blind and severely sight impaired people aware of the concession.

A sight impaired person can purchase a colour licence for their household at a reduced fee of £72.75 or a black and white licence for £24.50 at www.tvlicensing.co.uk/blind.

People over the age of 75 are also entitled to a free TV licence for their household at www.tvlicensing.co.uk/over75.
