TWO paedophile brothers have been jailed for at least seven years each for what a judge described as "sexual depravity against children on a huge scale".

Graham Potter, 40, and half-brother Damien Barker, 22, carried out a sickening two-year orgy of abuse against a boy and girl as young as five.

Potter was jailed indefinitely after he admitted a catalogue of sex crimes including offences against another young boy and girl in the late 1990s. He will serve a minimum of seven years before a parole board can consider his release.

Barker, of Custom House, who has a reading age of a five-year-old, was jailed for seven years.

Potter's partner Sharon Day, 40, denied joining the brothers in three gang sex attacks but admitted child cruelty charges and received a ten-month jail term suspended for two years.

Potte admitted having "deviant sexual fantasies" about pre-pubescent girls.

After repeatedly forcing himself on the petrified youngster he threatened to kill her, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

Potter also forced himself on a boy of seven.

He joined Barker in the abuse of a boy and a girl between February 2005 and March 2007.

Describing the abuse he suffered at Potter's hands from the age of five he said: "It happened a lot, more than ten times and on other occasions."

He revealed how Potter and Barker took turns to rape him. Potter and Barker also jointly performed sex acts on the boy, said the prosecutor.
