THE FASHION world said its final farewell to West Ham-born designer Alexander McQueen during a private memorial service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Monday (September 20).
Timed to coincide with London Fashion Week, many leading figures in the fashion world were expected to pay their respects to the four times British Designer of the Year.
The 40-year-old was found hanged in his central London flat in February the day before his mother Joyce’s funeral.
An inquest into the death of the former Rokeby schoolboy recorded a verdict of suicide.
