Rugby league is set to return to the Olympic Stadium as England host Australia in the Four Nations.

The code’s second biggest international tournament will tour the UK later this year, with Stratford hosting the final group stage game on Sunday, November 13.

It is the second rugby league match to be played at the stadium, following England’s 2-9 defeat to New Zealand during the three-test series in November last year.

England captain, Sean O’Loughlin, said: “Playing at iconic venues such as the former Olympic Stadium are one of the reasons we play the game.

“Walking out in front of 45,000 fans in London last year was one of the highlights of 2015 for me and I am sure that playing in front of big home crowds will push the team on to what will hopefully be a successful campaign.”

Tickets for the match, which starts at 3.30pm, are available from, priced from £25 for adults and £12.50 for concessions.
