The next phase of London City Island has been announced.

A joint venture between Malaysian company Eco World and London-based Ballymore, the second phase will see two blocks built by to contain 417 homes ranging from one to four bedrooms, as well as a number of suites.

Set on a 12-acre island, it is connected to Canning Town via a 260ft red bridge.

In addition to homes, the new neighbourhood will feature restaurants, shops and outdoor spaces, with residents having exclusive access to the City Island Arts Club.

This private club includes a gym, screening room, swimming pool and a concierge service.

There will also be provision for the English National Ballet’s new school. Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin, chairman of Eco World Ballymore, said: “We aim to combine the imagination and expertise of our two companies to create spectacular new residential destinations with an unrivalled attention to detail.”

When complete, London City Island will include 1,145 new homes, taking design inspiration from the area’s maritime heritage.

Prices for phase two properties start from £300,000 for a suite to £1,200,000 for a four-bedroom home.
