Twelve schoolchildren will have their artwork publicly displayed after winning a Crossrail art competition.
Crossrail, which is currently carrying out tunnelling work in North Woolwich, asked children at Drew Primary School to paint pictures representing their area to brighten up hoardings along Albert Road.
The twelve winners, one from each class, were announced at a school assembly on Monday by Area Director at Crossrail Jeff Clegg.
Headteacher Natasha Scott said: “The children are really excited to have their work displayed in public for everyone in the local area to see.”
The artwork will also be displayed at the Woolwich Ferry interchange. It will go up alongside old photographs of the area selected by visitors to the Learning and Activity Centre in North Woolwich.
