Sauna damaged in hotel fire in Canning Town

Fire crews were called to a collision on the M25.


Around 150 people were evacuated from a hotel after a fire a hotel

in Canning Town.

Part of a sauna in a health suite was damaged in the blaze at Hotel Novotel on Western Gateway but no one was injured.

Four fire engines from Silvertown, Plaistow, and Poplar fire stations were at the scene on Thursday. The Brigade was called 6.18pm and the fire was under control just after 8pm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
