With just two months to go until the Rugby World Cup kicks off, a group of Newham teenagers have been getting into the sporting spirit by starring in a promotional video.

The youngsters joined England cup winners Jason Robinson, who was in the victorious 2003 side, and Natasha Hunt, part of the team that won last year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup, in Memorial Park for the filming.

The campaign, which also features members of East London Rugby Club, is part of sponsors Coca-Cola’s initiative to give away a million rugby balls.

Jason said: “I really enjoyed taking part in the shoot in Newham and introducing some teenagers to the sport.

“I hope our video will inspire many more people to get active and give rugby a try.”

The Olympic Stadium is scheduled to hold four pool matches, as well as the third place play-off, during the tournament.
