A competition has opened for children to win a scholarship at an art school in Newham.

The Rosetta School of Arts for Children, Hamilton Road, are offering two children aged between 8 and 11 years old, a place on their 20 week ‘School of Art for children’ programme by submitting a piece of work for the competition which ends on Saturday, October 19.

The submitted piece can be a painting, drawing or collage on A4 paper with the winners chosen based on creativity, individuality and expression.

The programme is designed to develop children’s artistic skills in painting, photography and pottery by introducing new techniques and providing a warm environment to learn and work.

Entries can be emailed to info@rosettaarts.org or handed in at the centre and must include the artists name, age and guardians contact number.
