Dozens of residents gathered at West Ham football ground for an event aimed at getting disabled people involved with improving services.
Entitled ‘Our Lives – Our Right to Control’ the Newham Council consultation sought to encourage disabled residents to offer their input into how to improve services.
Residents attended workshops on topics such as employment programmes for disabled people in Newham and support for small enterprises.
People were also encouraged to join a task group, which will meet regularly to develop, discuss and improve council services.
