Residents will unite in silent tribute to those who fought and died in conflicts both old and recent today.
School children will join soldiers across Newham at the stroke of eleven, remembering lives lost since the bloodshed of the First World War.
The eleventh hour will also be marked with a service at the Cenotaph in Central Park, East Ham, where some 1,000 residents gathered on Sunday.
