The Recorder is sending along its own team to take part in the Morrisons Great Newham London Run this summer.
The Recorder Runners will be tightening their shoelaces and hitting the pavement in preparation for the 10km run on Sunday, July 19.
Trying to keep the pace will be news editor Freddy Mayhew, reporters Sophie Morton and Mark Shales, apprentice Jacob Ranson and digital director Paul Hood.
The team won’t just be running for the kudos of crossing the finish line in the former Olympic stadium and joining the golden ranks of Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah.
They will be raising money for Richard House Children’s Hospice in Beckton – more on this soon.
