More than 30,000 people enjoyed a night of sparkling fireworks and fun to mark this year’s Guy Fawkes.
This year’s spectacular fireworks display at Wanstead Flats was organised by Newham Council was choreographed to a stunning soundtrack featuring hits from Mumford & Sons, One Direction, Rihanna, Florence & the Machine, Jessie J, Katy Perry, Calvin Harris.
It also featured a mouthwatering array of food and non-alcoholic hot drinks was available to buy on site - including Thai noodles and curries, French crepes, jerk chicken and gourmet Lebanese cuisine.
Newham Mayor Sir Robin Wales said: “It’s always terrific to see different generations of families enjoying themselves at our free events. This is a fantastic annual show and it’s a great credit to all those who worked hard behind the scenes to make it happen. We had a terrific turn-out and it was wonderful to see a record number at this year’s event, enjoying themselves to the full.”
