Canning Town held one of the biggest street parties in the borough.
In Ravenscroft Road, the street contained little groups of people all having their own mini-party. Youngsters especially took advantage of the occasion to play footie and cycle down the street.
The atmosphere was one of relaxed enjoyment as ice creams, beers and food were consumed.
Youngsters took part in competitions to find best dressed bride and groom. Liberty-Rose Catton was chosen as the best ‘Kate’.
