Ravenscroft children leap into the future

IT was a big day for nursery school pupils at Ravenscroft in Canning Town who celebrated taking the big leap up into primary school.

Wearing suitably grand gowns and mortar boards, 35 children marked their first graduation with staff and mothers at the nursery in Carson Road.

Alison Sharp, head teacher of Ravenscroft Primary, said: “It was a very successful day.

“The children were very excited and the mothers and staff shed a tear of two.”

The four-year-olds join Ravenscroft Primary in January.
