Commuters travelling through Stratford during rush-hour this morning were hit by major delays because of signalling problems in the area.
All National Express East Anglia (NXEA) mainline and metro services to and from Liverpool Street were affected by cancellations and delays of up to two hours.
A NXEA spokesman said services are still currently being affected and were likely to continue until at least midday today.
A spokesman for Network Rail apologised for the delays at Stratford this morning and said staff were working to fix the problem.
