Stunts, basketball, football and chess were all part of the fun at Queen’s Market.
The market in Green Street, Upton Park, played host to the Market Games, as part of its partnership with West Ham Foundation, Active Newham and the neighbourhood team today.
More than 100 youngsters joined in the activities, whether that was showing off on a BMX or competiting in a popular sport, as part of their aim to encourage children to stay physically fit.
Cllr Hanif Abdulmuhit, community lead member for Green Street, said: “These events are great examples bringing the community together in a fun and active way when the market is not in use.
“The initiative is a prime example of the work of our community neighbourhood teams, to bring local people together and create a community spirit.
“I am delighted the Market Games have been so popular and I hope they continue to go from strength to strength.”
