If you’re planning on going out and about over the Easter weekend, be prepared for delays and alternative routes.

Engineering work along a number of lines through the borough means that replacement buses will be in operation.

Trains

The Greater Anglia metro line between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield is suspended on Sunday and Monday.

Passengers travelling between Stratford and Romford can use their tickets on the 86 bus.

Those who wish to travel further can take the Central line to Newbury Park where a replacement bus service will run to stations between Romford and Shenfield.

There are no engineering works on the c2c line, but a Sunday service is operating tomorrow and Monday.

Tube

The Jubilee line will only run as far as Waterloo on all four days, with a replacement bus operating to Wembley Park. There are no planned engineering works on the Central, District and Hammersmith and City lines.

Overground

There will be no service from Stratford to Camden Road on Sunday to help prepare the network for five car trains.

Replacement buses are in operation along the line.

DLR

There is no service between Canning Town and Beckton on Saturday and Sunday due to Crossrail works at Custom House.

A replacement bus is running, as are all other branches of the network.

Roads

No new road closures are planned in the borough for the weekend, but with all the disruption to public transport, expect them to be busy.

As for the weather, it’s not going to be brilliant.

Forecasts suggest we’ll be seeing more of the same strong winds we’ve been experiencing over the past few days, with highs of 10 or 11 degrees.

Tomorrow will see some showers but from Saturday it should get brighter with some sunny intervals.
