Fire chiefs are holding a public meeting in Newham tomorrow to consult on the possible closure of Sivertown Fire Station.
The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority will discuss how it proposes to make savings worth £28.8m across the capital, including closing 12 fire stations, removing 18 fire engines, relocating four fire engines and reducing the number of firefighter posts by 520.
Silvertown is among London Fire Brigade stations under threat.
The borough’s residents are urged to come along to the meeting being held at Newham Town Hall, Barking Road, East Ham, from 7pm - 9pm.
