Green campaigners have organised a public meeting on February 29 to discuss Boris Johnson’s plans for two river crossings in Silvertown and Beckton.
Transport for London (TfL) started a consultation earlier this month into the London Mayor’s proposals for a new ferry service to Gallions Reach and a road tunnel from the Greenwich Peninsula.
The plans drew immediate criticism from groups such as Friends of the Earth (FoE), which fears an increase in congestion and pollution.
The meeting, organised by FoE, will take place at 6.30pm at the Britannia Village Hall, 65 Evelyn Road, Silvertown.
