Renowned particle physicist Brian Cox is finally getting a chance to go up into Orbit. The one in the Olympic Park that is, so he can just keep on D:Reaming.
Still, it looks a bit like a rocket so maybe that will make up for it.
If you want to join the popular TV professor for an evening of space exploration and discovery backdropped by views stretching 20 miles across London atop the ArcelorMittal Orbit – and frankly why wouldn’t you – tickets cost £49 each.
The evening is in support of the Science Summer School which brings together children from more than 30 schools in Newham and Tower Hamlets as well as neighbouring boroughs, so your money is going to a worthy cause.
Prof Cox will be discussing recent scientific studies in space and his work at the Large Hadron Collider. There will be a chance to ask Oldham’s greatest export some questions of your own.
The event starts at 7pm with Prof Cox speaking from 7.30pm to 8.30pm including a Q&A session, followed by drinks and a group photo.
Tickets cost £49 and include access to the ArcelorMittal Orbit and two complimentary drinks. All proceeds go to the Science Summer School Fund.
