Police investigating the sexual assault of a woman on her way to a gym are looking to speak to a man in connection.

Officers were called to Penny Brookes Street, Stratford, at about 7.45am on February 26, following reports of a sexual assault at some point between 6:10am and 6.30am.

As the 25-year-old victim walked to a nearby gym on the same road, a man approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her.

The man captured by the CCTV is described as being of medium build and wearing a dark jacket with a light fur trimmed hood.

He was seen wearing a rucksack and dark tracksuit bottoms with writing down the leg tops.

Police want to hear from anyone who recognises the man or who saw what happened.
