A 79-year-old vulnerable man from Stratford has gone missing prompting an appeal from police to find him.

Neville McCarthy, also known as Joe Black, was last seen in person by his care worker at his home address in Janson Road on Monday, March 6.

‘Joe’ is described as a black man with cropped black hair. It is not known what he was wearing when he went missing but he may be wearing a navy blue baseball cap.

The pensioner is known to frequent east London and travel on the bus network. While he has access to a Freedom Pass, police say ‘Joe’ has no money and no access to a mobile phone.

Officers are particularly concerned for his wellbeing due to his age and say he may appear to be confused.
