Vytautas Skeirys, of Emma Road, Plaistow, has been charged with driving without insurance, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and failing to provide a specimen of breath in connection with the smash.

Police and paramedics were called to an address in Woodlands Road, Ilford, at 3.33pm on Saturday where they found two cars in collision, one of which had also collided with a wall.

Mr Skeirys was arrested at the scene and charged the following day.
