A man involved in a collison with a car in Plaistow this morning has sustained “life changing” injuries, it has emerged.
Police now say that the pedestrian, originally thought to be in his 30s, is 19-years-old.
Police and ambulance services were called to the scene at Barking Road at 9.55am where they treated the man for multiple head and chest injuries.
He is currently being treated in The Royal London Hospital.
Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.
