Pioneering mentoring scheme for East End women

PUBLISHED: 06:00 17 February 2012

Young women in Newham who can benefit from a mentor or be a mentor to others are needed to take part in a scheme seeking to empower women.

The Leading Ladies Mentoring Programme, created by not-for-profit organisation Bright N Beautiful, is reaching out to females aged 13 to 25 in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Hackney.

The free scheme pairs young women with mentors to realise their ambitions with personalised mentoring sessions, a two-day goal-mapping workshop on March 3 and 10, and a free mentoring DVD.

Fiona Iwerebor, project director, said: “We will work with young women from the local community to find out more about what they want to achieve in their life.”

n To get involved, contact Fiona on 07738 741 701 or email info@brightnbeautifulteens.org.uk.
