High winds could be to blame for the collapse of a large shop canopy at a popular retail park.
Pictures taken by shoppers showed the metal structure, which is roughly two-storeys high, strewn across the car park at the Beckton Triangle Retail Park, Newham.
The canopy is thought to have been outside the Currys and PC World store and to have come down last Monday evening wh o Monday evening en winds were reaching up to 70mph across southern England. There are not believed to have been any injuries.
No-one at the store or the retail park was available for comment today.
