School children across Newham are going Comic Relief crazy - with red noses, fancy dress and painted faces the theme of the day.
Hundreds are getting involved doing something funny to fundraise for the British charity event.
The aim of Comic Relief is to raise money to help change the lives of poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa.
Children and staff at Drew Primary School in Canning Town are wearing red with funny faces and donating a £1 to the cause.
Ravenscroft Primary School in Canning Town have raised £240 so far.

Jay Puaar, a teacher at the school and head of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) said: “The children love getting involved in things like this.
“We celebrated World Book Day yesterday too, so they’ve had fancy dress two days in a row.
“Parents have been helping out painting children’s noses red today. We thought we’d do something a bit different because not everyone can get to a shop to buy a red nose in time.
“We’ve even encouraged parent to have their noses painted and teachers have been wearing fancy dress too.”
Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has encouraged people to do something funny for money at home, school or work.
A-list celebrities will assemble tonight on BBC One for a series of live sketches, gags and routines.
By fundraising in schools pupils will be helping 300,000 children across Africa into education and learning.
And this year the UK government is going to double the money raised by UK schools.
